My wife tends to sleep with earplugs in. We are afraid there will be a run on earplugs so are thinking of hoarding them. What is your family planning to hoard this week?

I've got enough alcoholic beverages to last for a lon-n-n-n-g time. I've got lots of soap (which they say is the best thing to wash one's hands with). If it's just me and Mrs. tandfman at home, I don't know that we need to keep wiping things down (as long as washing our hands is the first thing we do when we return home from anywhere else). My local supermarkets, meat and fish stores, and chain drug stores seem reasonably well-stocked. I always have more than a dozen rolls of toilet paper in the house. I've tried to think about what I should be hoarding, and I haven't yet come up with anything.

i knew we were in hoarding mode yesterday when I went to the meat department in my local grocery store and they were out of lamb!

oh yeah, and sign No. 2 was that I had to buy a 2.5 gallon jug to get any distilled water. I guess regular water has been so long depleted that the desperate are switching to distilled.

I dunno. Maybe Kleenex so I can have a garage sale and fetch $100 a box when people who can't imagine using anything but tissue run out of TP.

Being out in the country with a freezer our normal purchases of dry/canned/frozen goods often look like hoarding in the first place. When I checked around yesterday to see what I'll be looking for when I get out to shop this coming Tuesday (let the stores restock from the weekend) I was short on my favorite brand of peanut butter and the whiskey reserves could use restocking. I'll pick up a bunch of other stuff but for the most part we could go a few weeks without shopping if needed.

Friend in LA just called me, says stores there are depleted of every thing, asked me to send her masks, surgical gloves and Purell. I have not noticed any shortages or closings in OKC
I guess I have just been unconscious.. I just visited eight pharmacies.. found one box of gloves.. all assured me OKC is sold out of other stuff too.

The local stores are out/low on hand sanitizers, toilet paper, kleenex, flu medicines, but had pretty much everything else.

Paper goods, bread, milk, canned goods, pasta, and cereal have been hit or miss in local supermarkets in northern NJ.

My wine cooler is well stocked.

All gasoline stations are open and a few had prices under $2.00 yesterday,

Just take a bottle of bad wine and add a bottle of 7-Up - you're set!

Two days later, same store, at 7:30am, after they closed early the night before to disinfect and RESTOCK, they were wiped out of many things. This is just what it looks like here right before a huge hurricane is set to hit, so at least we're a little used to it,
