Ted Nugent Tests Positive for COVID After Calling Pandemic a ‘Hoax': ‘I Thought I Was Dying’
Musician Ted Nugent said Monday he tested positive for COVID-19 and had been experiencing intense symptoms, though he’s called the pandemic a “hoax” in the past.
Musician Ted Nugent said Monday he tested positive for COVID-19 and had been experiencing intense symptoms, though he’s called the pandemic a “hoax” in the past. In December 2020, the 72-year-old entertainer dismissed the global coronavirus pandemic as “scammy.” Monday, he changed his tune, mentioning the “pandemic clusterfu–.” During the Facebook Live broadcast in which he announced his diagnosis, in fact, he used that colorful word twice. Trump, like Nugent, contracted COVID-19 at one point, requiring hospitalization last fall. Nugent has attacked school shooting survivor and gun control advocate David Hogg and praised Fox News’ Laura Ingraham. Earlier this month, Nugent expressed no fear of the virus in another Facebook Live, instead quipping, “Why weren’t we shut down for COVID one-through-18?” Of course, COVID-19 was not named sequentially, but for the year the infection was initially reported, 2019. Sounds like a bad story about the IRS but it still is income.... if you are going to run a charity you have to know a little about taxes, donations...anyways I'm sure he'll come out fine.
Twilight Zone had an episode on this theme ...
They use their first wish to repair a broken glass cabinet, proving the genie's power, and then receive a million dollars in cash upon making their second wish. After they have given tens of thousands away to their friends, an IRS employee visits the shop and presents the Castles with a tax bill that, once they pay it, leaves them with only $5.

I think I've worn a mask outside once (when not heading to an indoor location). That was back around Halloween when my wife and I, my daughter and granddaughter went to the local Halloween event at the zoo. I'm an avid masker indoors but don't see the purpose outdoors as I am never really all that close to others outside.

The only change is that I stopped wiping things down (groceries, mail, etc.) after a few months. Transmission from touch isn't a big thing, like they thought at first.

i mask-up the minute I go out my front door and even wear when I'm alone in my car. Paranoid? No; but I discovered that the more you wear one the easier it becomes and you don't develop nasty habits like pulling it below your nose. Small price to pay.
