Unfortunately, the Jenny McCarthy crowd has contributed to a surge in measles deaths as some communities are losing the "herd immunity" needed to protect children. The Covid anti-vaxxers have just added to the "movement" back to the dark ages.

      • First, the group of doctors championed ivermectin as a covid panacea. It failed to live up to the hype. Now, they're promoting the anti-parasitic to prevent and treat the flu and RSV. The Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care Alliance, formed in 2020 to "prevent and treat covid," is touting ivermectin for common respiratory infections amid a dramatic drop in prescriptions for the drug as clinical trials undermined claims of its efficacy against covid.Subscribe to The Post Most newsletter for the mos

        • I was/am not smart/educated enough to second guess the experts. I just did it all vax, boost, masks, distance/minimize exposure. It has worked so far.

                  • In the last 2 months in my Doctor's visits (5-6) I see pretty much the end of masking, temperature taking, The only thing now are questions about vaccinations and recent testing.

Polio case last fall in NY in an unvaccinated individual. Clusters of measles in the US started increasing long before COVID. I got a lot of criticism 15+ years ago for suggesting this was a real risk. This issue is not so much anti-vax is so large, it's that these populations tend to cluster and accumulate over time.

                        • TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — An analysis that was the basis of a highly criticized recommendation from Florida’s surgeon general cautioning young men against getting the COVID-19 vaccine omitted information that showed catching the virus could increase the risk of a cardiac-related death much more than getting the mRNA shot, according to drafts of the analysis obtained by the Tampa Bay Times.

The nonbinding recommendation made by Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo last fall ran counter to the advice provided by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Ladapo, a Harvard-trained medical doctor who was appointed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2021 to head the Florida Department of Health, has drawn intense scrutiny over his shared resistance with the Republican governor to COVID-19 mandates for vaccines and masks and other health policies endorsed by the federal government.

The early drafts of the analysis obtained by the Times through a records request showed that catching COVID-19 could increase the chances of a cardiac-related death much more than getting the vaccine, but that information was missing from the final version put out by the Florida Department of Health last October.
