Went to the Gym today. At 7 a.m. Just about 25 people. Not bad. Then I saw there was no sanitizer anywhere! Just the stuff for equipment. Nobody was wearing masks. I was, although I did remove it on the elliptical due to breathing issues, it was O.K. on the treadmill. I saw several people not clean down their equipment. There were no signs anywhere about sanitizing. I was the sole old fart there. I complained to the staff about the lack of sanitizer and was told: "It's hard to get." Half an hour later I was in Publix (Grocery store) and they had dozens of bottles of the stuff in a basket. The Gym ( L.A. Fitness) is a big concern, and there is no excuse. So I sent them a missive telling them what I thought and that I would be advising my old friends not to visit until they had it better organized. None of my friends go to a gym....

I saw a great metaphor (hope it wasn't here!) about dealing with the pandemic:
(paraphrasing)
If you get in a fight with a gorilla, it doesn't end when you want it to; it's when he wants it too.
I see lots of people just about to get whupped by that gorilla.

Obviously that lot aren't taking it seriously....a recipe for disaster....hand sanitizer or not.

The Vidalia season started up here so I had practically a whole one--sauteed-- on a bun, with a burger thrown in the middle. Very good. Apricot squares (home made) after. Good holiday supper. Now back to the grim stuff.

b. Bad news for married couples who are currently in different residences for whatever reason.
Some people in the UK were predicting a potential baby boom because of cohabiting couples lacking other things to do along with a rise in divorces amongst couples who have not enjoyed being cooped up together all this time.......Last edited by Trickstat; 06-01-2020, 04:22 PM.
