I don't know. They say because it's not a dead or weakened version of the virus, it doesn't count as a vaccine. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

There's also great concern about future consequences. It's really quite bizarre. Most of the guys I work with are Conservatives, and the vaccine rate amongst us is about 50-50. On this one issue it's like sub-tribes have formed. They are reading some weird dark web stuff, and it's frustrating to talk to them. They are all over the spectrum on the education scale as well.

For some, I'm sure, the mandate is the sticking point, and I get that. I really do. But to me this isn't a hill to die on. I'll die on other hills.
    I hear you...it is tough...

It is Fox News spreading most of the nonsense...

The only thing I've seen work is a mandate... or a family member dying.

Got myself Modernaized. Full shot since I had J&J. No side affects, other than yelling at TV talking about the 2 Democrats trying to sink the new POTUS. Oh wait I always did that! Next test is lecture series I go to that usually has 650+ old people crammed into a Church. We'll be the ones in back on the aisle.

It works LIKE a vaccine (to produce antibodies against the disease), but it contains no live Covid in it at all, so it's not a vaccine. You can't 'catch' Covid from the shot.

That is putting it mildly.... there are lots of parts of Oregon like Douglas County just south of Lane County where a mask is thought of as an insult. Also vaccines aren't popular either.

    Meanwhile...

On a per capita basis, Florida is ninth in the country in cumulative deaths β€” 10 percent higher than the US average.

Which U.S. state has the lowest COVID-19 rate right now?

It’s not California, home of America’s strictest mask and vaccine requirements. Nor is it Vermont, even though 71 percent of residents there have been fully inoculated β€” the most in the country.

No, the state with the fewest daily COVID cases per capita is the same one that recently had more than any other: Florida.

I agree. Whenever I'm around my parents I keep some distance and if I do have to get in their faces for whatever reason I put on a mask.

Getting vaccinated protects against severe illness from COVID-19, including the Delta variant...
