I get that's supposed to be a joke, but timing is everything in comedy and that timing is so wrong, it's just not that funny.
        "there's nothing worse . . " ?

would be out of place if it were in the C19 Memes thread, but the title of this thread is "Coping With...." and while you couldn't relate, a lot of people might consider a good martini a perfect coping mechanism.

Exactly.....especially where the Apocalypse continues....I had my Friday dry martini last night and it was great. I thought it right on. You have to be a martini connoisseur to appreciate the comment.

            BTW here is the context....

              • Anyways if the Trials come off next year all are welcome to my house for a dry martini. They are legendary I must add. I also make a mean Manhattan now.

The relatively cheap product when on sale only interests me with their marinara variety. Which is of course why I can't find it anywhere. I went to a large market and asked for 15 bottles. They told me no.

At least the second time this has happened to Delta at DTW.

This is a real strange thing to see. It is still for sale in the UK, but Im not sure if that has anything to do with ingredient sourcing or population as the UK is twice as populated?

                        • Virus death toll linked to Maine wedding grows to 7

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — At least seven people have died in connection to a coronavirus outbreak that continues to sicken people in Maine following a wedding reception held over the summer that violated state virus guidelines, public health authorities said.

The August wedding reception at the Big Moose Inn in Millinocket is linked to more than 175 confirmed cases of the virus, the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday.

There are lots of things worse than a not-so-good martini; going hungry and not being able to do anything about it; fxxxing martinis are a luxury and many people do not have many of them, especially right now.
