Patients say a Connecticut physician took advantage of the pandemic with “super Covid tests” and $480 follow-up phone calls.

Interesting ... as someone who went to Elementary school in B.C. at about the same time as you, gh, I don't recall that at all.

Makes sense. Distinguishes when from wen(a goiter) and win (a victory), what from watt (electrical), why from Y and where from wear.

lol same to both. Driven cross country many times and cannot imagine why anyone would want to do so in a Tesla, especially if camping is on their agenda.

A take-off on this, no doubt.

                  • Ticketmaster put out a potential set of guidelines for fans returning to concerts....obviously post vaccine. No paper ticketing at all. No resales. Online hub which you upload your vaccine completion or a negative test within 3 days of event. No one admitted without one or the other.

My wife's immediate reaction was something along the lines of "that's too much". I reminded her that we used to simply walk on to an airplane.

If this would become the norm, it could encourage some to vaccinate who might otherwise not.

Wow, I go to about a concert a year (Stones, Elton John, Kings of Leon, 2Cellos and . . . Jim Gaffigan) over the past 5 years, but I shan't be going to one under those rules unless the vaccine is soon. I'm not getting a test just to go to a concert!

I'd imagine that this could become the industry norm for any ticket access event. This would become nearly weekly for me between music and sporting events.

                        • Last month I posted this in the Covid Mems thread:

I now find that there's a better way to deal with door handles--self sanitizing door handles !

Apparently, there are at least two different kinds of them:

Even before the pandemic, I opened the door with a paper towel and then threw it in the bin. It's kinda pointless to wash one's hands and then grab a germ-infested handle.
