Like Atticus, I saw this "school's in session and we're all indoors 'cause it's cold outside" virus/flu clusterf* coming and stocked up on TP when it was easily available over the summer. I have near-survivalist-quantities of that and a number of other must-haves.

Funny how back in April when masks were scarce and there were about 30k positives daily many of us were extremely cautious about any contact outside the home. Now when masks are common (but far from universally used) many/most of us are quite a bit more relaxed about outside trips. On the other hand the daily positives are around 150k. I'd say extreme caution is required now more than ever. (Taking into account that there is a lot more testing these days than in April; on the other hand testing is far from universally and/or easily available.)

        • The NJ Governor has limited Thanksgiving Dinner to ten. We normally have about fourteen but for reasons unrelated to COVID-19, we will only have eight - four siblings and family members.

Suddenly my 200 TP rolls and similar stashes of paper towels, Lysol spray, Lysol wipes and Purell - all in plentiful supply in late summer - are looking pretty good.

A lot easier to implement mandatory vacccination in Israel than in the United States.
