Good point - you folks have an advantage in that way. On the other hand with DeSantis/Kemp/etc. folks running things, you also have a disadvantage or two. In any event, it'll be a long winter . . .

Track Covid-19 in your area, and get the latest state and county data on cases, deaths, hospitalizations, tests and vaccinations.

Georgia and Florida, like California, are in the bottom third of states most recently, according to this NYT chart.

Plus the fact that 20% of Florida is 60 years or older. Florida has been averaging 250+ hospitalizations for a week or so, and the death toll is climbing again.

Georgia had been separating PCR and antigen tests until yesterday or today so our numbers were artificially low. Only the PCR tests were getting aggregated. We hit an all time high today.

Weather has been exceptionally good for most of the fall.

                    Perhaps only in Florida?

In Florida I'd be behind 8 million but ahead of 13 million.

                      • I guess I better go the shelter-in-place route:

<<Based on your risk profile, we believe you’re in line behind 118.5 million people across the United States.

When it comes to California, we think you’re behind 12.3 million others who are at higher risk in your state.

And in Santa Clara County, you’re behind 500,200 others.>>

I should clarify that I was referring to deaths per 100K

Ah... yes. We've been doing fairly well since our hospitals haven't been pushed to the brink. But we are at a steady 2% CFR. So as other states have have big surges and ebbs we just keep on cranking out 30-50 dead every day. 2 months ago we were up to 12th in deaths/100k. Now we're back down to 15th (where we were in late July).

It says I'm behind 391,100 (1M total) others in my county, but given the wariness and procrastination factors, I'd bet I'm easily in the top 100,000. Might be Feb or March?
