  • And the Foot Locker meet is cancelled.

The USATF National Junior Olympic XC meet is still alive in Lexington, KY on 12/12-13, but if held, will send runners in waves off a 500 foot starting line so they can be socially distanced. And the meet will be split into two days to reduce crowds.

    • Cam Newton positive test he's out this week assuming the game is played. Game itself postponed to Mon or Tues. Logic dictates that Cam may not be the only one. Hope Pats kept the QBs apart lest they may not have one to play with. Game would probably be postponed without a healthy QB but there's a part of me which says it should be played anyway and it is up to the teams to keep their players testing negative.

      • 2 minor players in the bowl-hosting department are gone: Bahamas and Hawai‘i (although those are probably the best bowl destinations there is!

wonder how long before one of the significant ones figures it financially has to pull the plug. geographically speaking, Rose Bowl the most likely candidate?

Why even have it at the Rose Bowl if fans can't attend.

I admit I am quick to blame the sick people for lax preventative measures, but there are just too many variables in this equation to blame the team protocols.

That's the way I feel too.

                • WNBA successfully completed their abbreviated season. As Rebecca Lobo said after the game "five months ago, we didn't even know if we would have a season."
Congratulations to Seattle Storm for their 4th title.

I already did that about two months ago with post #652.

                      • Roger Goodell is threatening to take draconian actions against the Titans for suspicion of violating COVID-19 protocols.

"Protocol violations that result in virus spread requiring adjustments to the schedule or otherwise impacting other teams will result in additional financial and competitive discipline, including the adjustment or loss of draft choices or even the forfeit of a game,” . . .

The Titans could find themselves at the mercy of the league after reports surfaced Wednesday that several players took part in an unauthorized workout offsite after the outbreak had begun. . . . .

Another layer of a forfeiture is players not being paid for games not played. The Bills nor the Titans may be paid in this situation under the revised COVID-19 agreement
