  • I wonder if the NFL has figured out what they will do if a playoff game gets postponed due to COVID-19. I have a hunch that a lot more games will be called off before the end of the season with COVID-19 raging all over the country.

    • The NFL is too powerful. They'll just cover up those COVID-19 infections in the playoffs (Mahomes injured an ankle, Russell Wilson injured his elbow). The facts may be uncovered later, but the games went on.

NJ made every team eligible but the playoffs were limited to 2 weekends of which, I think, this weekend was the first.

        • note that the NCAA is moving towards a single-site March Madness. Probably Indy.

          • How long will it take to play 32 first-round games at one site?

            • I'm guessing that "single site" doesn't necessarily mean all in the same facility.

With three universities and multiple adequate HS gyms in Indy, and few spectators they should be able to do it in a couple of days

                • Hell, they could do the entire thing in five days. One round a day, like the Kentucky High School Sweet Sixteen, then the semis Saturday morning and the final Saturday evening, also like the KY State Tourney.

And Minnesota paused youth flirts for four weeks. NJ traced one-third of its COVID-19 cases back to sporting events.

                          • Just realized there should be a few hundred kids waking up scared shitless right about now, in anticipation of the NCAA cross country championship that should’ve been held this morning.
