    The athletes are working for essentially room & board at company towns run by folks who don't give a rat's ass about any single one of them, only what they can do to inflate the incomes of the folks who run said town. But sure, bubble them up even more than they usually are on big-time campuses and have them try to salvage whatever they can of the TV income the company town honchos live on . . .

    Ever the optimist at getting the cheap college athletes to risk their lives running around for our amusement during covid, although we are talking college football, where the cheap athletes risk their lives running around for our amusement whether there's a pandemic or not . . .

    Meanwhile....the World Snooker Championships in Sheffield ended today. 17 days... 300 fans on day one and the last 2...but none on the other days. Ronnie O'Sullivan won his 6th title 18-8.

    Well I hope it works and no players get seriously ill and they finish the season....but even if that happens the Big 10 and Pac 12 both made the right decision....
