So Georgia (the country, not the US state) has now replaced Trinidad & Tobago as the deadliest country in the last seven days. (105 / million deaths.) They are now also 7th worst (3,496 deaths / million) since the start, and by far the worst country in Asia.

Covid-19 is significantly less severe than the original SARS from 2002 which had a death rate of about 10%, but SARS ended up with around 8000 cases and 800 deaths worldwide, whereas Covid has notched up over 800,000 deaths in the US alone and still counting.
I will say that with an estimated 99% of 12+ vaccinated, we may be better placed than many other areas in the world. Also, our 5G reception is otherworldly and we've all discovered an urge to build Bill Gates cathedrals to better worship him!

More than 3,400 Floridians are now hospitalized with COVID-19 , according to the Florida Hospital Association. That's 657 more patients than the association's prior-day report — nearly a 24% increase.
