    NYC only: 481K cases & 25,505 deaths
    NJ State: 528K cases & 19,886 deaths
    Bergen: 51,293 cases & 2,429 deaths

    NY, NJ, NYC, and Bergen County deaths include confirmed and probable deaths.

    NJ: 5,032 new cases, 32 new confirmed deaths
    NY:15,355 new cases,153 new confirmed deaths
    NJ has 3,588 & NY has 8,484 hospitalizations.
    The Rt for NJ rose to 1.08.
    The NJ spot positivity test rate fell to 11.94%.
    NJ has given out 200K vaccinations.

                  That's very sobering. If that's true, the US has less than 5% of the world's population, but 20% of the world's deaths. I suspect some or all of that may be due to serious under-reporting elsewhere.

                      385K according to another source (Worldometer). Either way it's an awful statistic, and the worst part is we're not showing any sign of slowing down. California is now New York and N.Y. is taking off again. Xmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter to come.

                                Depends on whether only confirmed deaths are included or probable deaths are also included. NY has over 7K and NJ over 2K probable deaths included.
