    Wasn't aware of this either.

The latter didn't do their due diligence or did their hubris preclude that? Never heard of the former, but she wins!

The lawsuit may be new but the dispute is old news - from TN1965: https://forum.trackandfieldnews.com/...65#post1654665

That was about the lawsuit by the band. The first post that referred to the issue is here -- from Atticus #98.

I've long felt that many of the White heroes of the Civil Rights Movement don't get nearly the credit they deserve. After all, it's human nature to champion a cause that will improve the plight of you and your people but it takes a special person to champion a cause that will do them no good and subject them to a lot of blowback. Some of these heroes (eg. Viola Luizzo, James, Reeb, Andrew Goidman, etc.) paid the ultimate price but there are multitudes more like Graetz, who suffered socially and financially for doing the right thing.

Funniest name listed to be changed is the sitting senator. Crazy folks.

I'm OK with most PC positions, simply because they're usually trying to make a good point, albeit one carried a mite too far, but this one provides the slippery slope to 'cancel' virtually anyone they want, since no one is perfect. I don't know anyone who can stand that kind of scrutiny. Sheeesh!
