how can the list not have Happy Together by The Turtles?!

There's a number of those tunes which get a fairly quick reject from me and I can't say any of them make me feel any better or more productive. In fact, collectively, it may have been the single worst listing of tunes I've ever seen as related to the subject approached.

However music taste is very individualized.

What about Happy Talk from Rogers & Hammerstein's South Pacific?

This list would not be complete without Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry, Be Happy."

Or how about Temptations' "My Girl"?

There are no "happy" songs--or books--or movies--or any works of art!
          Why not?
Because REAL art is born of pain, torment, and suffering!
Thus, even the "happiest" songs etc come drenched in tears!

The listener may call them "tears of joy"--but REAL artists know better!
          LOL

Not sure about 'happy' but Groovin' (on a Sunday Afternoon) by the Young Rascals has to be the mellowest song ever!

My personal happiest song is I Can See Clearly Now by Johnny Nash. It always makes me feel better.

This board has collectively come up with better suggestions than the list which inspired the thread.

How about a little cheering up from Sly, his brother and sis, Larry Graham and Cynthia Robinson. Everybody....have...some..Hot Fun in the Summertime!

For me there are countless, but the one that just came to mind: "She's like a Rainbow"-Rolling Stones.

“Mornin’” by Al Jarreau is a great way to start your day.
