  • The Great One's Wife in Hot Water . . .

Speaking of the Great One (as I did on another thread here today), Mrs. Gretzky is in a bit of trouble re: sports gambling. And the case is uncomfortably close to Gretzky's Phoenix Coyotes, as the gambling ring is apparently financed by a Coyotes assistant coach.

Gambling scandal or no gambling scandal, she's still my favorite "Dance Fever" dancer, next to Denny Terio, of course.

      wow !

she looks even better now than that film with matt dillon she made in the '80's ( 'cisco kid or something :?: - i enjoyed that )

i suppose if your the best stick-merchant of all-time, you get the appropriate wife !

(p.s. is it just me, or is the "great one" starting to look like sergy bubka ? )

Gretzky lives in a house that looks like Versailles.

Why would a guy with $100 million in the bank flush his legacy down the crapper?

I guess this kind of gets us back to the recent sports heroes as role models thread.

I think that house is for sale. Maybe to pay off his wife's gambling debts. Sure isn't the first time this kind of thing has happened.

Have you seen any polls in Canadian newspapers about how Canadians feel about Janet Gretsky, MJD?

Is she still as popular as ever?

I didn't know she was popular. You may be right but I just don't know.

gretzky would be the guy who might pull out, citing the incident would take the attention away from the games themselves..

i'm NOT a hockey guy, but my understanding is canada is the significant favorite for the gold....

so gretzky simply avoid the pr hit by staying in north america..

Janet Jones was my role model growing up. I'm very disillusioned by all this!
