At a dinner party last night and there were three people there that were still "basking in the glow" of a Toto concert from Saturday.

When you pander to the lowest common denominator of American musical taste, it's amazing guys like McCartney bother to show up, and guys like me bother to watch.

      Word.
The real survivors are those who refuse to listen to the 3 note, 1 key, 1 chord, 2 word, repeat-a-beat-to-death garbage, that renders too many children brain dead by the age of 14. Or watch Survivor, that's potentially more dangerous:

Prior to his set they had video of Sly back in the day. He was one wildly active and engaging entertainer. He is a shell of that now. Kind of like watching the thorazine-loaded (or whatever) Brian Wilson on stage these days. More sad than anything . . .

This shows a ton more life in Sly (from 1970), and this is just rehersals: http://youtube.com/watch?v=nMO37phmVyI

Edit: there is a lot of old Sly on YouTube. Check it out: http://youtube.com/results?search_query ... mily+stone
