    LOL
And now plenty will be looking at her "American Records" and questioning how they were achieved.

    • The report is really damning and I bet the person here still defending her would be loud in their condemnation if she weren't American.

If they do that, then I suggest they check out several others I'll leave unnamed who made gigantic improvements almost overnight!
Including 1 or 2 of Houlihan's teammates at the BTC!

Your statement is not in any way a defense of Houlihan. Just a deflection so you don't have to admit that you were wrong and she did not get exonerated.

Most, if not all, here would love it if they could catch all the rule breakers. As of now they have caught Houlihan and she was found guilty of cheating.

Not really... not sure there would be much left....

My ideal is to put a limit on it but not go crazy....

wherever you put the limit, those beyond it will be cheaters, and you will want to catch all of them.

I do love that this is an actual finding from the CAS Verdict:

Based on the consistent explanations from the Athlete and the statements of the other witnesses, the Panel finds that the Athlete proved on the balance of probabilities that she purchased and ate a burrito on the evening of 14 December 2020.

                    • She was thrown a bone by not having to pay WA's legal costs, just her own. Wonder how much that is and if her sponsor will step up for her, in part or total. Can't be cheap.

                      • The Track Guy has a podcast with Shelby from August 31, just before this CAS report was released!
In it, she says she's angry & disappointed, but thanks her BTC teammates for having supported her & spoken out in her favor.
She says she watched only BTC teammates races in both the Trials & the Games, but nothing else!
She rested all summer, and has just returned to training!

She intends to PR, whether banned or not!
She'll be doing time trials & "mock races", and will race low key if she's allowed, but NOT in USATF sponsored events, as that could lead to a longer ban!
She DOES intend to return "faster than ever" in 4 years.
Her team plans to appeal, but she doesn't know when or how yet!
She just got back from 10 days at her family's cabin in Iowa (with her cat), apparently driving her VW van!

But now she's back training and living in Portland!
An excellent interview where she reviews her whole running career, from HS to now!
Her goals, time-wise, are to go sub-3:50 and sub-14:00!!

                        An excellent interview!

Human nature suggests cheaters will always cheat as long as there is a worthy ROI.

Since she won't be tested she take everything under the sun.....

4 years of training for time trials will soon get old.

She won't be allowed in any sort of race, even non-USATF sanctioned events. The ban is comprehensive.

You do still get tested when serving a ban.
