44%. Given my southern-bred parents, my New York chiildhood, and my midwest adulthood, not surprising. Hodgepodgeville.

"35% Dixie. You are definitely a Yankee." Well, they got that right.

41% for me -- please hand me the gun when you are done with it.

You mean with that much Dixie in me I'd probably miss? :?

52% Dixie. Kentucky was a border state. Roots are more Dixie than Yankee. Grandfather #1 was from Nova Scotia, Grandmother #1 from rural Georgia. Grandfather and Grandmother #2 from rural KY, the former from a little cluster of houses called Tyrone on the banks of the Kentucky River south of Frankfort, reminiscent of something out of "Deliverance".

That is before they hear me talk. After that it is a GDF.

"38% Dixie. You are definitely a Yankee."

I'm so proud. Lived in North Carolina since 1980 continuously and somewhat since 1970, but grew up in Massachusetts and haven't lost it.

33% Dixie, probably would have been higher but those northern roots would not allow the almost 20 years in the south to come out.

We could make it a simpler test with just one question: Do you like grits?

                        No and no.

But I'll go for a grinder and a frappe any day.
