Lebron James and Michael Jordan would have thrived in any era but not Steph Curry who would have ttaken a physical beating if he had played in the 1980's. Similarly, immobile quarterbacks like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning would have had much shorter careers if they had played in the era of Terry Bradshaw and Archie Manning who were both much more mobile and athletic.
So why even bother talking about this stuff since everything is irrelevant?

Tell ya what jazz since it's all irrelevant believe whatever turns ya on , ok?

Dude, why are you battling this like ya are, you really don't see how things are different today vs back in the day, really?

My son is taller than I am, he is 6-3, his track times superior to what I ran. That it simply how it goes my man, you really don't get this?
What does you son's height have to do with anything? Surely you aren't suggesting that any significant evolution in the human species has taken place in one generation, are you? Surely you aren't that ignorant.

I am 2 inches taller than my father. Despite this he was a vastly superior runner to me at any distance from 100y to marathon.

          • It's like watching a master-class in how not to debate.

It's actually quite fascinating to watch.

I'm probably the youngest guy in this debate and I saw Bradshaw play. I remember the late 70s early 80s...meaning Jazzy and company did as well. Stop acting like you're the only one who has watched decades of football.

Anyhow, Ken Anderson smokes everyone so there.

It’s sad to see some of the board’s best & most knowledgeable posters, folks I respect the most around here (jazz, bam, scott & atticus, amongst others), waste so much of your time and way too many keystrokes going toe-to-toe with the latest incarnation of this bloviating king mixer. He tosses out provocative statements, usually a mix of half-decent knowledge and total BS, specifically tailored to get a response from you guys. All of your rational arguments aren’t going to change a thing - your responses are what he lives for, the oxygen that sustains him.

In the meantime the threads he’s infected feel like a cross between a junior high school playground & the worst sports trivia show ever – not quite letsrun but definitely a circle jerk headed in that direction.

We’ve seen his act at least three times before. Each time he’s banned he sock-puppets back to life with the same old schtick. (My guess is that there were other incarnations in those multi-year gaps in his record - either that or he apparently lost access to the internet.) He’s the Anthony Brown of the boards in that every time he shows up in a new uniform it’s inevitable that it will end badly.

The only good side to this nonsense is knowing that he’s wasting a lot more of his time than each of you are. It reminds me of time decades ago where I was having an email dustup over some long-forgotten work issue with the co-worker in the next cube over. He’d rapidly pound the keyboard (one of those heavy old IBM-type keyboards that made a lot of noise) for an extended time writing some nonsense, then I type out a handful of words in response, to which he’d waste another large chunk of an hour beating the keyboard, to which I’d toss out another few words, which got him rolling again, etc. Good times . . .

Taller than my dad and bet you are taller than yours. Yes we are getting bigger, honest!

Watching a high school all star game, an offensive tackle 6-8 340, this is high school.

So all that because I picked Bama to beat Cincy and they did, think Big Ben is better than Terry Bradshaw, that is some big deal? Google Big Ben vs Terry Bradshaw see what ya get.

                      So what is the problem?

It's unless you agree with us you are a villian....haha!!!! Others here can have their opinions but I can't, wow!

                      This is funny....

                      poster...I like Terry Bradshaw

So knowing Anderson was by far a better QB than Bradshaw with...

                        59.3 comp%
                        197/160
                        81.9

                        ......why the Terry Bradshaw talk?

Add him to that long list of back in the day QB's with far superior numbers to Terry Bradshaw

                        • I have tried numerous times to just talk this season, you guys are the ones who keep talking Bradshaw not me.

So anyone care at all about this season?

Chargers vs Raiders the winner moves on the loser is done for this season, who wins?

                          • My wife’s a Texas girl so we watch a lot of Cowboys games. During the Dallas – Philadelphia game right now, the TV guys said that that may be the NFL’s greatest rivalry. I couldn’t tell you which rivalry truly is greatest in the NFL but somehow I’m a bit dubious. College hoops it’s Duke-Carolina. Years ago Kentucky-Indiana and Kentucky-Notre Dame were big and Carolina-NC State. UCLA and Notre Dame. So here’s something else for you guys to argue about, which NFL rivalry is the greatest rivalry? You set the criteria.

jazz, how many ways can I tell you I saw Bradshaw play and he was not a great QB, not close to Big Ben at all, and not even close to those in his day, He played on one of the greatest teams in history that is why he won all those SB's, and why we talk about him. His numbers suck vs his peers, ok man? Guy was inaccurate, bad decisions, TONS of pics, ok?

Go to any Steelers forum and start talking about how Terry Bradshaw was the best Steeler QB, watch what happens.

Now how about we move on ok my man, getting bored with it.

                              Hold it...

How about actually taking a few minutes and hit up a Steeler forum and see what they think, come on see how things really are since ya don;t believe me, Maybe you can come back showing me how wrong I was and they go with Terry, that would shut me up wouldn't it?

                              Hmmmm?

                              People also ask

Is Big Ben better than Terry Bradshaw?
In the two quarterbacks' early years in the NFL, it's clear that Roethlisberger had the easier transition and overall better performance than Bradshaw. Over the length of the two quarterbacks' careers, the numbers game favors Roethlisberger.

                              Just keeps coming...

                              The Bottom Line

This article isn't meant to disparage what Bradshaw did in his NFL career. He was and will always be a great quarterback and the first ever to win four Super Bowl rings. There is one area where Ben Roethlisberger must improve: Super Bowl quarterbacking.

The bottom line, however, is that Ben Roethlisberger burst onto the scene his rookie season in 2004 and has never slowed down. He's only made everyone else look like they're slowly falling behind.

Bradshaw took years to get going in the NFL and still had big holes in his game the entire way through his career.

That's really why Roethlisberger is greater than Bradshaw. And it really isn't even close at this point. The question now is not if Bradshaw's team records will fall, it's simply a matter of which game they'll fall in.

What is left to say my man, I have seen a lot of football think I know what I'm looking at, Big Ben a far better QB than Bradshaw, Ok now I'm moving on unless ya do show me something from a Steelers forum.
This thread originally dealt with who the 10 best all-time NFL quarterbacks were. And evolved into the Bradshaw vs. Roethlisberger argument. I'll avoid getting involved in that. But neither one is close to the top 10 all-time; both might be considered for top 25.

Yes, I don't think the Packers will make the Super Bowl. Rodgers has too many distractions.
