So if Green Bay or Rodgers were lying about his vaccination status for half the season, what's the penalty? Because compared to cooked up nonsense like the air pressure in footballs this actually seems like a big deal.

The NHL suspended a player for 1/4th of the season for COVID-19 shenanigans and that would be 4 games for the NFL..

      • Rodgers, Kirk Cousins, Cam Newton and Lama Jackson are the known NFL quarterbacks who are anti-vaxxers and they're supposed to be the smart guys. How many more are there?

          • One thing I've noticed about anti-vax athletes is that none of them seem to be willing to come out and say they're anti-vaxxers, rather they engage in games of semantics and obfuscation whenever they're asked about their vaccine status. When Rodgers was asked about his vaccine status he said he had been "immunized" whatever that means. Another tactic is to assert their right to privacy and one clown even invoked the Hippocratic oath.

Yeah want to play it both ways....

Rodgers should be shut out for the rest of the season.

According to what I've read, Rodgers was on the non vax list all year long.

                      Evidently, his "immunization" didn't work.

                      • Since training camp opened in late July, Rodgers had not been publicly observed to be following any of the obvious protocols for unvaccinated NFL players, as agreed upon this summer by the NFL and NFL Players Association. The NFL is currently reviewing the situation with the Packers, per a league statement on Wednesday afternoon.

Well, it sure sounds like Rodgers was in violation of multiple COVID-19 protocols.

We'll know soon enough. Ultimately, the Packers could face more culpability. The NFL issued a statement late Wednesday afternoon noting pointedly that "the primary responsibility" for enforcing COVID-19 protocols is with the team, not the league. It pledged to "review the matter" and noted that teams have been disciplined in the past for protocol violations. Among the teams fined were the New Orleans Saints ($500,000), Las Vegas Raiders ($500,000), Tennessee Titans ($350,000), New England Patriots ($350,000) and Baltimore Ravens ($250,000). The Saints were also stripped of a seventh-round draft pick, and the Raiders lost a sixth-rounder.

                        • The Packers have the bigger problem. Apparently Rodgers received some sort of non vaccine "treatment" which he asked for an exemption from the NFL and was denied. So he was required to follow the non vax covid protocol. The Packers were aware of this and...also apparently....did not ensure that Rodgers did so.

I know this is the "off with his head" board when it comes to non vaxxers but the team is in more trouble. Rodgers also may be out next week.

                          • I suspect the off-season acrimony between Rodgers and the Packers had something to do with why they were lax with him but they should pay a steep price for letting Rodgers skirt the rules.

                            • Rodgers really damaged his reputation with his vaccine games.

                              • He has to get a serious suspension...a fine on the Packers is ridiculous.
