Yep, I agree. Explosions are fun to watch but I am always dismayed by the early obsolescence and waste of functional structures.

Agree. A colossal waste. Wrigley Field has lasted about 1000 years, I don't see why Riverfront Stadium, where I watched Reds games in my youth, couldn't as well.

Yep. The one I watched was the demolition of the main administration building at the college that decided I qualified for a degree - Hayward State U (now Cal State East Bay) in the hills above San Francisco Bay, which had a great view of the region. Seismic safety was the reason they tore it down.

Building demolitions are amazing to watch. About 20 years I saw a documentary on something Discovery Channel about a group out of Baltimore called the Loizeaux Brothers who do many of the major demolitions in the US. They talked about how they set it up to bring the buildings down as an implosion and do it safely for those around them. Great documentary. Ya know, I know about more about those implosion cats than anyone. Been studying it years. Best implosions are always down in the southeast USA. No doubt about it. Big 10 country can't match up. HaHaHa ... Hmmmmm???

I could see that coming. I predicted those buildings wouln't fall. None of those were in the southeast USA, what chance did they have. When I guarantee a building will fall, it will definitely fall. Hahahahaha .... Ever wonder why most of the buildings that didn't fall were in the Ukraine?? Hmmmmm????
