This game is EXPLODING. When I was in HS, it was called Jotto, and since we played it all the time, I am killing this incarnation!

Tried it for the first time this morning. An opinion column in the LA Times described it with words like "social" and "emotional." I don't really get that, but it was a fun quick diversion.

Did you click the "?" in the upper left to see the instructions?

Ha! You misunderstood. I'm killing it means I've gotten the answer in four tries or less every time!

I am not a regular Twitter user, but this would have annoyed me.

wordle is a fun way to start the day. Free, there is only one chance daily so no chance of it becoming an obsession, a little logic and a fair vocabulary make it relatively easy to figure most days. And Lonewolf, you are certainly able to deal with wordle successfully.

For now. This version of Wordle is probably part of their plan to sell an app in the future with unlimited daily plays, and options for other than 5-letter words. Maybe even timed contests against other people on the Internet.

Suppose that seems a likely scenario, but its creator (Josh Wardle) did it as a no-frills side project for his girlfriend, and he says one short play per day is by design.

                            https://www.nytimes.com/2022/01/03/t...e-creator.html

While other games send notifications to your phone hoping you’ll come back throughout the day, Wordle doesn’t want an intense relationship.

[Says Wardle:] “It’s something that encourages you to spend three minutes a day,” he said. “And that’s it. Like, it doesn’t want any more of your time than that.”

Well, maybe. I was not smart enough to find the instructions. I'll go back and try again. Just as soon as I have time.
I have been self unemployed/retired for 48 years. Don't know when I had time to work.
