I don't know if other conferences have the same rule. But it seems bizarre. If UConn has only six scholarship players, they should be allowed to use walk-ons. (Or just play with six and avoid foul trouble. *) Otherwise, they should be required to forfeit the game.

Well, FSU also had to play with a bigger ball, so it affected both teams equally, I guess. Still incredible this kind of thing happens in a D1 game.
