This should make the likes of Carol King, Alanis Morrissette, and Laura Nyro "great singers." And of course, none of them are listed.

    Other notable omissions.

    Judy Garlond.'
    Sahar Vaughn.
    Dinah Washington.
    Lenna Horne.
    Dionne Warwick.
    Carla Thomas.
    Natalie Cole.
    Joan Osbourne.
    Celine Dion.
    Sarah McLaughlin.
    Natalie Merchant.
    k.d. lang.
    Leann Rimes.
    Sissel.
    Norah Jones.
    Eva Cassidy.
    Joss Stone.
    India.Arie.
    Jennifer Hudson.

    Nat King Cole.
    Bobby Warmack.
    Eddie Kendricks.
    Levi Stubbs.
    Barry Gibb.
    Robin Gibb.

And I have probably forgotten about some people.

Hmmm.... I've heard several song tracks by Billie Eilish but I have yet to hear anything resembling "singing"... more like softly spoken words interspersed by heavy breathing that turns into shouted verbiage shrouded with heavy electronic amplification.

Of course they have to (rightly!) rank Dylan highly. The publication is named after one of his songs.

as track fans, we should feel snubbed that Johnny Mathis and Garth Brooks were not included.

I’m stupefied that David Draiman didn’t make the list.

And leaving Harry Nilsson off? It’s like the list has no point at all.

I'm admittedly a Hard Rock/Metal fanatic and often lament the voices I wish did Metal so this warms my heart:

Could have been "The Queen of Metal" as well, she needed only take the crown as her own.

or 2, but then, to quote Darryl Hall, "I can't go for that, no can do."
    It's subjective rubbish.

That was precisely my thought when I skimmed through it.

I would say there are some songs where Dylan's voice and vocal style works well but I think a lot of that can be attributed to his skill as a songwriter.

Wouldn't disagree with number 1 but would move some other people quite a few places up or down.

The Empress of Soul at # 101 must be a joke. She should be in top 5.

(Am I the only one who cannot see # 41-50?)
