Hammy, are you old enough to remember when the whole world stopped on October afternoons to watch TV or listen to the radio for the World Series... business, schools, whatever... everything stopped for the Series no matter who was playing?

Could be true. Don't mind the weekday night games - I work during the day. But the weekend games?? Disgraceful.

Finally, the Olympic Games were suppressed by either Theodosius I in AD 393 or his grandson Theodosius II in AD 435,[3] as part of the campaign to impose Christianity as a state religion. The site of Olympia remained until an earthquake destroyed it in the 6th century AD.

    When did Sports Die?

What will be the greatest embarrassment in sports over the next few years?

    1. Barry Bonds will break decades old records in baseball
    2. The Tour de France will be run with most of the competitive field eliminated.
    3. Track and field will be controlled by agents, pharmacists and promoters and the winners will be questioned.
Working...
