Actor or actor-types so I'd say -because of the odering clue-they played the same cowboy/western character in movies. Sam Houston gets my guess with a back up of Lewis&/or Clark

I'm pretty sure Ronald Reagan is the other name, but I'm drawing a complete blank on the name of the tv show - all I can remember, based on the last hint, is "20-mule team Borax" (but it's not Wagon Train).
