another great use for PB, as done by me for lunch the other day (w/ Beautous Babs gagging in the corner):

cold wienie, direct from fridge, onto hotdog bun, slathered with cold (chunky) peanut butter. Fabulous on a hot day.

OK, now you are making me gag, and I am NOT going to wake up tomorrow and try this.

So far Garry you are 50/50 with me on food ideas. The peanut butter/butter/bacon idea was fine if not outstanding. A while back you made a mention of convincing Steve Young to eat the fried shrimp heads (a favorite of mrs. hammy - she is Danish and has weird food tastes at times) at a sushi place. The next time we went to our favorite sushi place, based on your comments, I gave it a whirl. Pretty much the most gagging food I’ve eaten since my Mom used to force liver down us once a month or so. I ain’t doing cold hot dogs and PB . . .

Unlike some (cough, cough, tafnut, cough) I have an open mind and will try just about anything once (not cold hot dogs with PB or dog poop, just to clarify).

You will try a fried shrimp HEAD but not a cold hotdog with peanut butter!?

Ok, im just curious, would you in fact try a fried shrimp head DIPPED in peanut butter? Cause i might.

which, of course, leaves all the other poops in the animal kingdom. Being willing to eat nasty stuff is NOT an indication of an OPEN mind; it is the proof of an aberrant one! [not that there's ANYTHING wrong with that! ;-) ]

Is there anyone out there who always wanted to make one but didn't know how? The answer, it seems, is on the Internet, like everything else:

Bad instructions, using the double-bread version as the default. A proper PBJ is always open-faced, otherwise the ratio of bread to goodie gets too high.

(Conversely, the default setting for a good cheeseburger is a single; the double has to much meat.)

Well, this is a little late, I missed it before the bump. Hell yes I would dip fried shrimp, or grilled. Pig & chicken too. Called sate. Peanut sauce is just peanut butter with a little coconut milk and chilies. Yum doesn't cover it.

To BH. My dog, for one, LOVES the wet spot. Any wet spot. The more disgusting the better

It is reassuring to learn that I have been making PBJ sandwiches, the most recent being consumed as I type this, in the approved manner for seven decades.

I put one day before I re-read it. It's been month and months since I've had pb&j. Weeks since I've had PB & honey .. but I have just plain PB almost every day.
