Eat. spit, be happy. Sunflower seeds, oh the flavor! They now have barbeque, ranch, ect ect. I love em. put a bunch between my cheek and gum and start a chewing and a spitting. Da wife discovers the spent seeds and ask," what, did i marry a bird?" No dahling you married a slob.

Never picked up the habit. My mouth is not coordinated enough. Like the taste of the seed, not the fight to get it out.

Like bh, I don't have the technique. So I cheat. Get the seeds roasted and shelled.

I don't think Willie has had to worry about stems and seed for many, many years. He has interns do all of the cleaning for him.
