Another book you guys will like is "The Edge" which comes out in 2 days, I think, by Roger Pielke. Roger sent me a pre-print version and its great. Full title is "The Edge: The War against Cheating and Corruption in the Cutthroat World of Elite Sports" which explains it pretty well - lots on doping, finding an edge, some stuff on gender testing, Semenya, etc.

On the bus back and forth each day from hotel to the Main Press Centre, I have read "The Grid" by Gretchen Bakke on my iPad. I finished it yesterday which was a bit disappointing because one of the best books I have read in awhile. Learned so much from it. Its about the US electrical grid, history of it, energy sources, the problems with it, how to fix them, how people are working on fixing our energy sources. Cannot remember when I learned more from a book. Highly recommended.

Then again, probably didn't want him regurgitating his breakfast!
