That didn't take long. Consecutive lead guitarists for Mayhall's Blues Breakers. John ran a really nice finishing school. I saw them at Fillmore West long ago. Clapton and Paige had gone on to bigger and better things, Beck soon to leave. Then I lost track.
I was thinking about them at the Dylan concert and realized that I had never seen Clapton live. Still haven't.

Eric was the first guitar player for the Yardbirds. He left the Yardbirds to play with Mayhall. Then Jeff took over and i believe Page may have played bass. When Beck left Page was the lead.
Eric left Mayhall for Cream. Jeff formed his own group with an unknown singer named Rod Stewart and Jimmy went on to form a band that Keith Moon joked one day would go over like a led Zeppelin. The rest as they say is history. This is all from memory so i could be wrong on some of it.phsstt!
