Because he'd been the coach there for 15 seasons and his departure 5 or 6 years ago was not taken very well at all by the KU fans...

And I will add that he left Kansas when they lost to the Orangmen in the 2003 National Championship Game.

I don't follow basketball at all, really, but I did watch KU's last couple games and was really jazzed. The final game was pretty amazing. I live pretty close to Mudville, and I can assure you that there is big-time Joy in Mudville today.

It is college baseball and golf that make me wonder when they actually attend a class.
