I'll concede that it is an activity, much like baseball, darts, bowling...

Ditto on synchronized anything.
Leave it to my boy Cooter to suggest pole dancing.
Regarding Synchro swimming, I find it silly as an Olympic sport, but strangely appealling, although for other reasons........
Just looking forward to 2 years from now when we can see the Russians, Georgians, and Ukrainians going head to head in the biathlon.

what exactly is the difference between greco-roman and freestyle?
i'd get rid of the following sports: equestrian, sailing, taekwondo, synchro swimming, rhythmic gymnastics, softball/baseball (i love these two but let's face, very few countries/people play them around the world); plus those that don't send their best players (such as soccer -- why bother? there's a world cup, not to mention a zillion other championships , of course for women, it's a different story).
