With the OR in the mMar (and quality races in the wMar and 10Ks), the doom-and-gloom sayers' fears of the heat, humidity and pollution have not panned out, and the IOC (and China) has to be breathing a huge sigh of relief!
heat, humidity & pollution most certainly not the province of "doomsayers." Twas what "should" have happened. They go lucky with a (reverse imagery) perfect storm situation. And boy, am I happy. For me, for the tourists, and most of all for teh athletes.
