From what I have been told, Jo Jo White and Hank Aaron smoked.

Many High jumpers smoke and in fact my coach who was from Uzbekistan encouraged it as an appetite supresent. I had a training partner who could tell you the brand of Cigarettes of just about all the world class Jumpers from the late '90's

According to Ron Clarke, Elliott "usually" cut back on his smoking during the racing season - incredible !!! Looking at his personal habits and the age at which he retired, what might he have run?
