  • US 2008 Elections Forums

Since T&FN will almost assuredly not allow much if any discussion related to this current election (in many ways the most interesting in my lifetime), maybe we can share other outlets. The place I have found most balanced is http://www.city-data.com/forum/2008-pre ... -election/ - a reasonably equal number of Democrat and Republican zealots talking back and forth at each other, with very little actual listening going on. Lightly moderated. Not a bad way of finding out what is being bandied about outside of the major media outlets.

Funnily enough they are all maverick, non-establishment ousiders looking for change. They stand for
      lower taxes
      better education
      strong military
      better health care
      more jobs

oh, and they want universal peace and an end to world hunger and disease.

I just can't decide who is the very BEST!!

There is a lot of VP-candidate PhotoShop action going around these days, very little of it having to do with Biden . . .

                          What's the big fuss?

Americans want lots and lots of government services while we cut taxes. And we want to reduce the national debt at the same time.

Oh, and we want a totally free-market economy as long as the government steps in to make sure no one loses any money. And high wages and cheap prices.

And lots of other contradictory things, too.

Only question is which candidate is best able to accomplish these things.
