Can't believe.. all 3 are gone now. I listened to 'Hey Joe' with my headphones just yesterday! - never heard any drumming better than that.
And he sure 'looked the part' on the back of that first album - what a group!

But Mitch Miller is apparently still alive, at age 97.

(I mention this only because that's who I thought of when I saw the subject head, since I've never heard of MItch Mitchell. I suppose there are some people here on the other side of the generation gap who've never heard of Mitch Miller. Sic transit . . . .)

Yep, I too was surprised to learn that who I assumed was the real Mitch Miller was still alive.
