  • An evening on the Tube...

Quite by accident, I ended up deciding to stay home this evening, and surf the tube.....and amongst the news, and the sports and the history and documentary and movie channels....I happened on PBS presentations of
Victor Borge....and then Roy Orbison. Two of the best.

Coincidentally, the local PBS station this afternoon had a fabulous one on the Kingston Trio.

PBS also had one last night on Nat King Cole. How good was that? Near the end, Harry Connick, Jr. said, "God just came down and put his hands on him, and said, 'You have the voice. This is yours.' And there was no way to beat that." He did have an amazing voice - so mellow.
