What a great career, even more so when I remember reading back in 1987 (in the old UK magazine Gridiron) that he hadn't ever touched an American football until he got to the US (although he did play soccer - but probably never rugby with its similarly-shaped ball either). Shame he had to bow out due to injury rather than truly choosing his retirement date.
