  • The 2008 Heisman

Bradford will win tonight, Timmy 2nd, McCoy 3rd and Harrell 4th.

But before the Gators go gently into that good night, some interesting facts (c/o USA Today)

    * Tebow faced six Top 25 defenses, ten Top 50 defenses (current NCAA rankings).

    * Bradford faced one Top 25, three Top 50. McCoy faced no Top 25 or Top 50.

*Tebow faced just one defense ranked worse than No. 70; Bradford faced eight, McCoy 11.
Here's to Timmy making matters 'right' on January 8th.

Don't fret about it, Marlow. Florida will absolutely crush OK.

I don't like OU at all but think it will be a great game with Florida (not a fan of them either)

I think Tebow should win the Heisman but won't because it's nearly impossible to win the thing twice (Griffin being the one exception).

However, the west votes could be split between McCoy and Bradford with a lot of the eastern votes going to TT.

For many of the reasons given in that piece, the Heisman shouldn't be voted on until after the Bowls. I was an early season believer in Harrell, then McCoy won me over. Then Bradford. I was trying not to get my hopes up for Tebow, but the way he carried Florida on his back when Harvin went down and Bama loomed large, convinced me he IS the best college football player this year. But, as I've said before, any one of them could win (incl. Harrell, who's already out of the money) and it would be a righteous pick!

              It's Bradford.

I just watched it on DVR and all three are great kids. Now I REALLY want McCoy to win it next year - he deserved it as much as the other two this year. He said his whole O-line returns, so look for even more Fla-Tex-Okla domination next year.

Yep, that would be a feel-good scenario for McCoy to win next year.

Interesting that Tebow had the most 1st place votes, 9 more than Bradford, but still somehow finished third.
