he makes a compelling enough case that I may have to go the iStore route to download episods of Weed and Dexter, neither of which are part of my cable package.

There is more that this guy loves than I have time to watch but I do try to sample what he pushes - he is often correct. We just got done watching the last year of the Wire. Goodman rates this as the best TV show of all time - I think that is over doing it. Of the stuff of the last ten years I'd go with The Sopranos.

I am working on season two of Mad Men. I do not love it as much as Goodman, but it is not bad and the wife loves it.

I highly recommend True Blood on HBO; I got addicted to it on Sunday evenings.

Me too - I've seen three on that list. Plus The Tudors on DVD and the original "Life On Mars" on BBC America (never watch US versions of Brit shows as they usually ruin them). Top Gear is a must see every week...

SYTYCD/DWTS (dancing shows)

throw in EPL action on Fox Soccer Channel, and other soccer/rugby on Setanta, and that's about it

I saw first 3 or 4 episodes of Generation Kill, then my DVR dropped it without my noticing until it was too late. And you can't buy individual episodes, only the whole thing. It's fabulous (once you get used to the Altman-like nonstop reality of background noise/chatter).

How can you miss "The Closer", "Boston Legal" and "Dr. G. Medical Examiner"?

Law and Order is still good as is American Chopper.

Barrett-Jackson Automobile Auction is very watchable if you are a car nut.

Judge Judy beats up the dummies beautifully.

I did turn into a few Dexters when it was presented on ``regular`` TV.
Shield,Burn,Mars.
L&O family and Mars films A LOT in my area.
