I'm guessing your use of 'savage' was advisedly ironic, cuz we ALL share that "you mess with me and mine, and I'll exterminate your DNA from the face of the Earth" mentality! Comeuppances, even overtly vicious ones, scratch a collective-unconscious itch (with the exception of this last Rambo movie, which was waaaay too over the line!)
Unconscious? Its all i think about. Some day i will have my revenge against these people..

    Early mornin leaf blowers
    Tailgaters
Cut in line dudes with car or body
    Coupon in store line people

      Must see for me.
Me too. Whether it's a "guilty pleasure" or not, I don't really care!

NCIS is on my short list of shows I usually watch if I am not doing something else but the one show I try not to miss is The Unit, Sun nite at 9 CT. That is one bad ass bunch of good guys.

Nah, nothing that deep. I was referring to my Comanche ancestors and exercising my racially endowed right to facetiously refer to them as savages.

I've been wondering how the guy could leave Damages off his top-25 list since it won (and deserved) 3 Emmys last year.

Then I realized, it was the danged writers' strike. The first "season" aired summer/fall of '07, then we went all of '08 without any, and the second season finally starts tomorrow night.

I don't watch too many of the current TV dramas or sitcoms although I seem to be spending my weekend evenings watching BBC's New Tricks on PBS.

                    Naval Criminal Investigative Service

                    Created by Donald P. Bellisario

Stars Mark Harmon (I've always been a fan) as the boss, David "Ducky" McCallum as the long-story-telling medical examiner, Pauly Paulette as the quirky Goth forensic specialist, Michael Weatherly as the skirt-chasing special agent, Sean Murray as the computer geek/agent, Cote de Pablo as the former member of Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency, and Rocky Carroll, who replaced Lauren Holly as the NCIS director.

Each episode starts with someone from the Navy or Marines getting killed, then the team investigates. Aside from the killing part, it's a fun show.

Dexter and Weeds definitely in my Top 5 of past year (along with Entourage)... of course am watching most of those as downloads because it simply isn't worth waiting for them to make it to TV down here in Australia...

Glad to see My Name is Earl may have bounced back in the most recent series, as it was heading towards the ramp and the shark pool last time i looked.

Sorry, but the list is not a very good IMHO. When these shows are not on it.

                          Prison Break
                          Chuck
                          Amazing Race
                          Sarah Connor Chronicles
                          Big Bang Theory

                          my list would be

Prison Break (Hardly anything is predictable in this show and they even give you clues each week to what happens next.)

Amazing Race (more because I would love to be on the show.)

                          My Name is Earl

                          Burn Notice

Corner Gas (Canadian show which is aired on WGN)

Big Bang Theory (There is a reason it's on at 8 while How I meet your mother is on after it at 8:30. Boy has that show jumped the shark.)

                          Meerkat manor (animal planet)

Survivor (Ok this show maybe getting old, but the last season was spectacularly unpredictable, Sugar should have won.)

                          Sarah Connor Chronicles

                          Chuck

                          Lost

                          24

                          South Park

                          Battlestar Galactica

Jeopardy (yes a game show. Still the best)

                          The Office

                          The Daily Show

                          Law and Order

                          and some educational shows
How its made (the science channel)

Extreme Engineering (although I take exception to the title of the show since I'm an Architect and many of the best shows are on Architecture.)

There is a new one where they take apart items, like lawn mower, car batteries and other appliances and show you how they work. Don't know the name off the top of my head.

Sorry not 25 have to think about it further. Also, note I don't have HBO and Showtime so I haven't seen those shows. The AMC shows are well overrated IMHO.

After watching tonight's episode of Rescue Me, I am more convinced than ever than not only is it THE best show on TV, it may be one of the best ever. It drags you through every emotion possible, leaving you stunned at the depths of the portrayals its broken characters. The show, the writers (Leary and Tolan), and Leary as Tommy Gavin deserve Emmys.

I would have to agree with that.
