I like to keep everybody here up to date with the latest in-state news. So I'm sad to report that Mr. Ronnie Carter, only the third Executive Director our state's prep sports governing body has ever had, will be retiring at the end of this year's sports calendar. He is perhaps the most respected and admired high school sports administrator in the United States. He will be missed. Mr. Bernard Childress will have the unenviable task of trying to lead our state's high school sports scene, which has become a joke. But I have the feeling that the late Mr. A. F. Bridges, the legendary first ED of the TSSAA, would be (and is) happy with our next leader.
