  • Why the Steelers will win another Superbowl

First and foremost will be the fact a lot of those Steelers have been there and done that, while few Cardinals have. That is huge. Now add that great Steeler defense and there really is no need to go any further. The Steelers will have Warner in third and long all game long. Yes Fitzgerald will have a couple...wow!!!!!... but it won't be enought. No Card running back will be able to run successfully enought to put the Cards in third and short. Meaning a down where it's.."will they run or throw?" As long as the Cards are in third and long they will be throwing and that won't work vs the Steelers. If the D knows what's coming and you have the players the Steelers do, it's over!

On offense Big Ben's ability to evade the rush and buy time for a receiver to shake loose...huge! You can't defend that sort of them. So with that said....

    Steelers...27 Cards 17

Actually, you could have summed up the whole thread with two words. "Experience" and "Defense" will be the bottom line.
If you're ever walking down the beach and you see a girl dressed in a bikini made out of seashells, and you pick her up and hold her to your ear, you can hear her scream.

I'm sure that's true of every thread on here or every book ever written. How about the Bible...

Be cool and you'll float around in Heaven with Me, screw up and you'll be sorry...trust Me!

I think you misunderstood. Try reading it again.

I will say this, if I were God no way I play this hide and seek stuff.

You MUST be God - You move in mysterious ways and say things I do not understand. Am I the hider or seeker here?

You're just saying that because I seem to know the outcome of these big football games in advance....huh?

as someone that knows something about football, Id like to say emphatically that Tex is as good a prognosticator as I have ever seen. Very rare.
... nothing really ever changes my friend, new lines for old, new lines for old.

But, of course, the No. 1 reason why the steelers win is because:
Their opponent is the Arizona Cardinals!

Jeeez, the AzCards have been written off, underestimated and generally dissed all season. I said it first here: they will find a way to win. Super Bowls are boring more often than not and the Cards will win this sucka FUGLY!

The bad news: you got last year's Super Bowl DEAD WRONG!

The good news: I agree with the comment above - you DO know your sprinters and your football. But sometimes even the experts are wrong. Who had Barama to win the 2008 Prez Sweepstakes in their post-2004 office pools?

                          [
Not possible the Steelers will win because they just announced the Cards will be in the dark jerseys.

Just kidding; I think the 49ers and Cowboys blew that old theory out of the water a few decades ago.

The popular recipe for winning a Superbowl goes: great defense combined with an offense sporting either a great quarterback/receiver combo or great runningback.

But I've always believed the team that wins is the one--barring a first half blowout situation--that can successfully make the necessary adjustments at halftime.

I think (hope) this game will be a good one.

If it's a 'good' game, Steelers win going away. I just don't think it will be pretty, and the Cards will hang on for the win. But I ain't betting.

Just remember: It's not whether you win or lose that matters, it's how well you cover the point spread.

                              :]
