If you pick a couple of games a week next season, I think I may consider putting some play money on the line based on your picks.
I might give some advice if asked but to just pick games...nay!

Hot off my golden pick in the BCS Bowl, nailing the point spread exactly, and because I don't know how to quit while I'm ahead lol, my Super Bowl prediction -
Smart money seems to be on the Steelers, and on the surface that would certainly look like a safe bet. But looking between the lines of the Steelers losses this season we see some troubling news for the Steeltown Boyz.
The Steelers are a team that was built in the smash-mouth, old school mold they always are - run the ball, stop the run on defense, don't make mistakes throwing it. The problem is their defense is set up to control the line of scrimmage and stop the run, and when the Steelers went up against teams this season that have experienced quarterbacks that throw the ball well - the Eagles, Giants, Colts, and Titans - they struggled, and lost. Statistically, the Steelers were a brick wall stopping the run - 44 ypg, but even in a division as mediocre as the AFC North, the surrendered an average of 200 ypg through the air.
Offensively, when matched against a high powered opponent, the Steelers are at a disadvantage. In a shootout Roethlisberger is out of his comfort zone, and the Steelers ball protection, grind it out offense becomes a liability.
So, that being said, here's how I see it. Warner is in a zone equal to any in his career, and Fitzgerald is, well, Fitzgerald. The Steelers as mentioned have struggled mightily against offenses like this, and I don't see that changing against the Cardinals. Warner's HOF credentials being on the line as a motivator for him don't help matters for Pitt.
It could get ugly, but Steeler pride makes that unlikely. So I'll say Cards 27, Steelers 20. Fitzgerald MVP, and Warner's ticket to Canton is officially punched.

Why do you struggle with this so? Longgggggggggg time football fan who has picked up on a few things along the way. Why is that so hard for you to grasp? Wanna talk Abner Haynes, Cookie Gilchrist. Pawl Lowe and the old AFL? How about the original Tim Brown?

If you are going to come on here with all your bluster and bravado, you're going to have to admit when you're wrong and eat some crow. IMMEDIATELY after the Pats lost last year, you stopped posting here for a loooong time. Why was that?
