When was he named Argentina coach? I don't keep up with football like I used to and was wondering WTF he was doing on the Argentinian bench. Then they said he was the coach. Wow.

There must have been some controversy, right? Also, who did he replace?

Just looked it up. November of '08.

Anyhow, Rafa Marquez just got another red card against the US by cleating Howard. He must not like gringos. He also got red carded for head-butting Cobi Jones (I think) a few years ago. What a punk.

Can't believe I'm watching this. Boring.

Which national team has the highest number of red cards per game? Bill, did you see the 1990 Argentina/Germany world cup final that practically ended in a fight. It was ugly.

Here is a chronology of the cards given to Argentina.

      9' Gustavo Dezotti yellow
45' Pedro Monzón enters the game and then gets a red after 19 min on the field.
      84' Pedro Troglio yellow
      87' Diego Maradona yellow
87' Gustavo Dezotti second yellow and out.

      Argentina lost 1:0

I'm very surprised that Maradona is coach, is he more of a figure head or is he really in charge?
