What always gets lost in the Jim Brown story is the fact that his running back (Brown was a fullback) mate Bobby Mitchell was faster and more elusive and more a threat to break something than Brown was. Mitchell was a great kick returner and a HOF wide receiver (position change once he became a Redskin...why????) Mitchell would leave Cleveland after 4 seasons where he had a 5.4 average.
The Jim Brown/Bobby Mitchell combo has to be the best.."thunder & lighting "..ever. Czonka/Mercury Morris in second.
Mitchell being one of the 10 (#5) most elusive runners ever. Yep you can check him out ...youtube.
Oh yeah...
Jimmy Brown was the best combo of speed/agility/power we've seen. That's why he's the best. He could run over and out run.
