Oklahoma senior vows to return $64K of scholarship money if the #3-ranked Lady Sooners don't win the women's basketball championship.

"So when you're good enough and don't do something, then you have to take accountability for that and that's your own fault. We can win a national championship. If we don't, I'll feel like I didn't earn my scholarship."

Sounds like a Tebowesque gesture. I hope she reconsiders if they lose. Sometimes 'stuff happens'.

She does come from a fairly wealthy family (her dad is longtime 49er lineman Bubba Paris) so she can probably afford it. But an interesting gesture nonetheless.

Courtney Paris has repeated her pay back offer but the presence of her and sister, Ashley, at OU has generated tremendous interest and untold multiples of revenue for the sport. I don't think she owes anyone a cent.

Thought I would bump this now that OU is in the final four. It would seem Courtney Paris has done more than her fair share by being the first ever 4 time all american. http://www.mercurynews.com/sports/ci_12041771

            BOOMER..
If you're ever walking down the beach and you see a girl dressed in a bikini made out of seashells, and you pick her up and hold her to your ear, you can hear her scream.

Courtney has put way more incremental seats in the seats to more than earn her scholarship.

Louisville 61-59. OU tried a 3 pointer at the buzzer that was close to going in.

Total collapse by Oklahoma in the 2nd half. You could tell they had one eye on Connecticut. Problem is nobody on Louisville quit, and by the time the Sooners woke back up a dominating 12 point halftime lead had become a 6 point deficit with 3:00 to play. Ugly loss for the only team that realistically could have challenged UConn.

The school wouldn't let her pay back the scholarship, so she's doing something else with the money for the benefit of the community.
