Holland somehow beat the DR twice to knock them out of the tourney. The Dutch are managed by Rod Delmonico, who was coach at U. of Tennessee for many years, led us to three College World Series appearances, but for some reason was fired by us.
ESPN had comparisions of salaries of each roster, how many are in the majors, etc. The combined salary of the DR was something like $500M; for the Netherlands, about $400,000. Over 20 Dominican Republic players in the majors; only two for Holland.
